About our Program:
Family Faith Formation is the religious education program for families with children enrolled in grades Kindergarten through eigth grade. These children typically are enrolled in public schools where no religious education is offered.
Faith Formation is an important part of growing and developing our faith in Christ, at any age.
What does the Family Faith Formation Process consist of?- Online religious education classes using Christ in Us (Grades K-6)
- In-person meetings with children for supplemental faith activities and to ensure that children remain on track with their online lessons
- In-person classroom sessions will happen once a month on Sunday mornings from 9:40 am - 10:45 am
- Monthly Family Faith activities
- Weekly Mass Attendance
- Church Service Activities
- Participation in Sacraments
Why Family Faith Formation?
Studies show that parents are the MOST IMPORTANT element in a child’s faith-life. This is why the Church asks parents, at their child’s Baptism, to accept the responsibility of forming their child in the practice of the faith. This program is designed to give you the tools and confidence to live that promise.
Is it hard to get to class every week? This program gives YOU the flexibility you need to deepen your family’s faith formation together at a time most convenient for YOU.
Family formation is not just a program, but also a way of life. It provides parents with the tools needed not only to teach their faith but to live it.

Who should register?
All students K-7th grade who are NOT enrolled at a Catholic school.
When does class meet?
On weekends during the school year:- Sundays from 9:40 - 10:45 a.m. for class
- On your schedule: students receive a take-home lesson to complete with their families
Important Information about Sacraments:
Family Faith Formation is part of the preparation process for First Communion and Confirmation. Please see the specific sacramental requirements available on the right for more information.

Family Faith Formation for students in Grades K-7 consists of:- Online religious education classes using Christ in Us by Sadlier (Grades K-7)
- Monthly in-class meetings with students for enrichment activities (Sunday Morning)
- Monthly Family Events
- Weekly Mass Attendance
Who should register?
All students in 2nd grade (regardless of whether they attend a Catholic school).
Important Information about Sacraments:Students must be enrolled in Family Faith Formation (FFF) for two consecutive years prior to receiving the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. In most cases, this means students begin Family Faith Formation in 1st grade and then begin First Sacraments preparation in January of their 2nd grade year.
Students enrolled in a Catholic school are exempt from the Family Faith Formation requirement because they receive formal religious instruction as part of their school curriculum. However, students must have been enrolled in a Catholic school for at least one full year prior to beginning sacramental preparation to qualify for this exemption. Catholic school students should register only for the First Sacraments preparation program.
Please note that all sacraments are received through the family’s parish of registration. Participation in Family Faith Formation or attendance at a Catholic school does not transfer sacramental preparation or reception to another parish unless prior arrangements have been approved.

Students will spend three classes preparing for First Reconciliation and three classes preparing for First Communion. Dates for the First Reconciliation Service and First Communion Mass will be provided at the parent meeting.Who should register?
All students in 8th grade (regardless of whether they attend a Catholic school).

More about the program:
Students will spend a full academic year preparing for Confirmation. The class meets twice a month and includes a handful of take-home assignments. There will also be a required retreat preceding the Confirmation Mass in the Spring. Family with 2 children: $100
Family with 3+ children: $130$50 per child (add this to the Family Faith Formation fee unless your child attends a Catholic school) $125 per child
